Stylistic Analysis of ‘The Border of the Hurrincane'

Stylistic Evaluation of ‘The Edge of the Hurrincane'

This can be a stylistic evaluation of a poem called ‘The Edge in the Hurricane', authored by the poet person Amy Clampitt. The composition is very significant stylistically as a result of curious method it has been created. It quite simply describes the end of a tornado and the poet person uses incredibly unusual ways to illustrate this. The poet uses incredibly extraordinary and symbolic images to reflect the ‘hurricane', which is the main topic of the poem. In the very first stanza, she explains the entrance of the " current” of air and uses words and phrases like ‘wheeling' and ‘careening, making it seem like the storm is like a ship which has turned up. The poet uses the word ‘lariat' making it seem like the wind drawn the rainwater along, and the same phrase he says ‘tambourines of rain' which right away gives the audience an aural image, the sound of tambourine such a symbolic technique of expressing the sound of falling rain, which may be artistically in contrast to it. Inside the second and third stanza, the poet person devotes his attention to the clouds. In the beginning she discloses how the clouds (which have already been lightened because of the rainfall) will be in continuous movement. Then the visual of the sky previously being washed and ‘rinsed' by the rain is given. The poet person uses two visuals of seas, to start with the time through the storm can be described as Carribbean, yet, because the heavens clear up, the calm Mediterranean is described, which is well known for its articulate blue heavens. Metaphorically the writer says ‘windowpanes of clearness' which can be interesting because windowpanes will be see through and so, it means the skies started to be tremendously removed of clouds.

She continuously stresses the point that the gusts of wind have swept away the clouds and made them transparent that they are now meaningless showpieces (fripperies). The lady uses metaphors to describe the lightness in the clouds, calling them ‘liquid footprint' while mere shadow of their former selves, producing a quiet comparison of associated with the lacewing of a travel, and...
